Armor Up ~ Buttercup

How many of you put your armor on daily? This week, I was personally reminded of how important it is to intentionally put on the armor of God every single day. If you don’t already have a routine of doing this, I want to encourage you: make it a priority. Be intentional. Speak these words from Ephesians 6 over yourself, your spouse, your children, and your home.
Why is this necessary? Because the Bible tells us that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but the Lord comes to give life — and that more abundantly (John 10:10, paraphrase).
The armor is a weapon. And when the enemy of your soul is constantly seeking to take you out — to take out your family, your health, your finances, your peace — you must stay equipped. You must stay guarded.
We are in a spiritual battle, whether we acknowledge it or not. The armor of God isn’t optional — it’s part of your divine protection. So armor up — daily.
Your strength does not come from striving or pushing harder in your own ability. Your strength comes from the Lord — from His mighty, unstoppable, overcoming power. God has given you everything you need to stand firm. He didn’t leave you vulnerable or defenseless. He gave you the full armor — truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the sword of the Spirit — so that you can take your stand against every scheme of the enemy.
Today, choose to put it on. Choose to stand not in fear, but in the confidence that you are fully covered. Heaven backs you. His power strengthens you. His truth secures you. His righteousness guards you. His peace steadies you. His faith shields you. His salvation crowns you. His Word empowers you.
You were never meant to fight from a place of defeat — you fight from a place of victory. Jesus has already overcome. You stand because He stood first.
Take your stand today. Be strong in His strength. Clothe yourself fully in Him. And watch the enemy’s schemes fall powerless at your feet.
Reflection Questions:
• Do I intentionally put on the full armor of God each day? If not, what’s keeping me from doing so?
• In what areas of my life do I need to strengthen my defenses with the armor God has provided?
• How can I incorporate speaking Ephesians 6 daily over myself and my family?
Declarations:
• I am strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
• I put on the full armor of God daily, and I am fully equipped to stand against every scheme of the enemy.
• The enemy has no foothold in my life, my family, my health, or my finances.
• Victory is mine through Jesus Christ. I stand firm, fully armed, and fully covered.
Prayer:
Father, today I make the decision to armor up. I put on every piece You have given me — truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and Your Word. Strengthen me by Your mighty power. Teach me to stand firm against every attack of the enemy. Thank You that I do not fight alone — I fight from victory. Cover me, my family, and all that You have entrusted to me. I declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. In Jesus’ name, amen.
