God is Calling for Absolute Surrender

God never takes a vacation. Although this is my time of rest and recalibration, He is showing me Himself in so many ways. Our time is His time. If you don’t know that yet, just keep living.

Last weekend I listened to a book on Audible and I just begin to weep. The book was by Andrew Murray, a pastor, teacher and writer that lived in South Africa during the 1800’s. Although the book was written centuries ago, “Absolute Surrender” reached and touched my heart and it was yet applicable to me today.

He talked about how we as believers must continually ask the Father to fill us with His spirit. He shared how many are walking in carnality and don’t even realize it because it has become our normal. His book really caused me to do a heart check.

In Psalms 139, David asked God to search His heart. How often do we ask the Father to search our hearts? Our heart is the birthing place of so many of our issues so we must guard and relinquish it to our Father daily.

Honestly, can we be so busy with life that we forget about the status of our hearts? Yes, we can. When we become stagnant or overcome by life’s pressure, His still small voice speaks to us and calls us to Himself. He reminds us that the time we have spent with Him has gone lacking. It’s in that moment that we began to have our hearts searched by the Holy Spirit.

Absolute surrender is when we totally align ourselves for more. Know this~there is always MORE. There is always another level. Listen, whatever God has for me~ I want it. If that means, I lay on my face daily and yield even more to Him, then that is what I will do.

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Romans 12:1 ESV

Living a totally surrendered and yielded life before God is necessary. We want what God has for us and it costs us everything!! Jesus was our example. He gave up His life for each of us and we are to take up our cross daily.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If you want to hear God even clearer-lay down more of yourself. If you want to walk even more in the supernatural-lay down more of yourself. Miracles, signs and wonders follow those that are completely surrendered and yielded to the heart of the Father. Give God your surrendered “yes” daily. Your absolute surrender to God is a great exchange. The best exchange of your life and you will gain everything. You may feel like you are losing at times, but the rewards are GREAT!!

And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it. Mark 8:34-35 ESV

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 ESV

Prayer~Heavely Father, help us to come to you daily with a heart of repentance and a heart that is yielded. Lord, as we turn our face to the wall search us and whatever you find reveal it to us that we may give it to You in Absolute Surrender. We ask that the Holy Spirit would empower us for this task daily. We want to walk according to Your will. Endow us with power from on high and grace us for the journey. In Jesus Mighty Name. Amen
