Let's talk about a topic that is near to my heart, prodigals.
Many of you know that I pray for prodigals on Facebook and YouTube weekly. Victorious Prayer for the Prodigal has received many testimonies of prodigals connecting with their loved ones. Prodigals that have come home. Prodigals that have come to Jesus. Prodigals that have gotten off drugs and the list goes on and on. Our desire is to see our loved ones saved, healed and whole. However, it does not stop there.
God wants their realignment for the assignment!!!
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV
Our desire is finite. We want them to stop gambling, stop committing adultery, come out of the drug houses, no longer have identity confusion, but God sees the BIG picture. He wants them to use their former pain to pull others from the pit.
You may still see them in the pit. You still see them addicted. You still see them in same sex attraction. You still see them in adultery, but He sees them healed, whole and free!!!
He sees them REALIGNED!!! He sees them RESTORED!!! He sees them walking out their purpose and destiny!!!
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV
What is God saying about your prodigal? Before they where even thought about, He knew what they would be!!!
Yes, they may be a addicted in the natural, but God sees their future. Yes, they may be in identity confusion right now, but God sees their future. Yes, they may be in lust and perversion right now, but God sees their future.
Ask the Father to show you who they are? What does He call them? What does He say about them?
Prayer: Father, we acknowledge you as Lord. You are the God who sees us. We praise and honor you Father. Lord, we see our prodigals in the natural. Help us to see them with Your vision Father. Heal our hurt and our pain so that we can truly love like Jesus. Our desire is to please you. Give us the strength that we need to intercede for them and be Jesus to them. We can't do it in our own strength. Lord, we need more of you. We need more compassion and more love. God grace us for this task. This is our prayer in Jesus Name, Amen.
