You Are Set Apart to Make a Difference

God wants to do a work in us, and the work He wants us to do requires us to be set apart.  You were created in the image of God, so our identity should imitate the identity of Christ.  For us to fully walk in this identity, we must draw closer to Jesus. We must get in a place of consecration and purify ourselves.  In the place of consecration, we are being set apart for God’s use.  When you read Leviticus 20:26 (NKJV), it states that we shall be holy to God, for He is holy and has separated us from people, and we shall be His.  God lets us know in this scripture that He wants you; He wants us.  He wants a relationship with us. It is through purification that we have this privilege to be in a relationship with the God of all creation.

Obedience is key in this process of setting ourselves apart.  We want to make sure we are connected with the father, and we hear his voice while we are walking in communion with him. In the place of being consecrated unto God, we begin to hear him clearly, and he begins to strip us of things that are not like him or bring him glory.  It takes discipline to be able to separate yourself from people, things that you love, and things that are not good for you.  It takes faith and obedience.  God is giving us the strength to walk through this process.  God wants to share the mysteries of heaven with us, he wants to download strategies, and he wants us to encounter his presence every day.

God is calling you to a place to consecrate yourself, draw closer to him, set yourself apart.  You may have to disconnect from some relationships in this season.  Consecration elevates you to the next level in the things of God.  Being set apart is a requirement to be used for God’s glory.  This place of consecration is not easy because it requires you to be solely committed to God.  The place of consecration requires you to get up early, stay late, turn down your plate, study for hours, worship, pray, and totally sacrifice yourself to the father.  The shift in your life that takes place during consecration is undeniable.  It’s an encounter with God, a life-changing transformation.  The Apostles in the Bible set themselves apart. Their secret place was displayed publicly through miracles and revelation.  The Apostles made time for God and we must make time for him as well.  God wants us to live a lifestyle of consecration. This lifestyle is one that is set apart.

Prayer:

Lord, we thank you that You have called us to be set apart. Father, at times this is no easy task, but Your grace is sufficient for us. Lord, sometimes we feel alone, but we know that You are right here with us leading us into that next. Father, as we are being stretched and pressed, Lord let the new wine of Your anointing flow through us. We are being made over and made new as we continue to draw closer to You Fathet. Let Your presence saturate us!!! We desire more Lord. In the Name of Jesus!!!

Today’s Devotional is from my book~ God is Greater Fighting Daily with Faith (21 Day Devotional)

Scriptures to Encourage You:

And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine (Leviticus 20:26, NKJV).

Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. (2 Timothy 2:21)

Be encouraged as well by this word from the Lord.
