The enemy is trying at every turn to try to cause confusion, strife, and fear among believers. However, we have the answer to combat all of his tactics and schemes. It is called the Word of God.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Throughout scripture God is telling us to trust Him. Don't fear. Don't be anxious. However, as we are bombarded with life, at times we may forget to use the powerful tools given to us by God.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5
The Father has given us weapons that are mighty against every trick and scheme of the enemy, but it up to us to use them and use them effectively.
I was recently bombarded with thoughts of anxiety and hopelessness. Transparent moment, I have been working long hours at work and not giving as much of my time to Holy Spirit as I normally do. I was tired and I was not feeling my normal self. As I have stated before, feelings are temporary and they normally indicate an issue that can be more spiritual than natural.
My feelings of anxiety and hopelessness due to overwork, physical tiredness and unmet deadlines where pointing to the fact that I needed to spiritually rest in God and also get some natural rest. Guess what? I did both.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
My fears and anxiety were crushed because I took what I was feeling and went to Him with it. He knew what I needed and as I rested and laid in His presence, He refreshed me.
Don't allow fear and the troubles of this world overtake you. Allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you as you speak the Word and get in His presence. You will be refreshed, renewed and restored.
