We Will Not Fear God is For Us

Aloha Everyone,

With news of the U.S. bombing Iran spreading across headlines, many hearts are gripped with fear. The world feels increasingly unstable. Wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6) seem to be escalating by the day. But I want to remind you of something unshakable: God is still in control.

This is not the first time God’s people have faced frightening reports. In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat received news that a massive army was coming to destroy Judah. The odds were overwhelming. The danger was real. But instead of responding with panic, he responded with prayer.

“Jehoshaphat was afraid and set his face to seek the Lord…” – 2 Chronicles 20:3

He gathered the people. He fasted. He worshipped. And then he said these words that echo through history:

“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” – 2 Chronicles 20:12

The Battle Belongs to the Lord

As fear rose, faith rose higher. God responded to their cry and said:

“Do not be afraid or discouraged… For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” – v.15

Even though war was imminent, God gave them a divine strategy: worship instead of war cries. The singers and praisers went before the army. As they praised, God ambushed the enemy.

Let that sink in praise became the weapon, and God fought the battle.

Today’s World, God’s Word

Yes, the world is groaning. Yes, global tensions are rising. But we do not fear like the world fears.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way…” – Psalm 46:1-2

The same God who delivered Jehoshaphat will deliver us. We stand in the same posture: our eyes on Him.

While politicians plot and nations rage, we lift our hands in worship. We anchor our hearts in the One who rules above all nations.

What Should We Do Now?

1. Pray for wisdom and peace – for our leaders, for the nations, and for the church.

2. Stay rooted in the Word –let Scripture guide your mind, not the media.

3. Worship boldly – just like Jehoshaphat, raise a sound of faith in the face of fear.

4. Stand firm – don’t retreat into worry. You are covered under God’s protection.

Final Encouragement

Friends, now is not the time to shrink back. It’s the time to trust deeper, worship louder, and walk boldly in the assurance that God is our defender.

“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord…” – 2 Chronicles 20:17 (NKJV)

Let the headlines remind you to look upward, not inward. While the world shakes, our God remains immovable.

You are covered. You are kept. You are safe in Him.
