He is a Good, Good Father

Going through life and many of us don’t understand that we have a “Good, Good Father” that is watching over us.  During life's difficulties, some of us may have turned to Him or away from Him.

Psalms 34:19 KJV

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

In my struggles, I have discovered that my Father wanted a relationship with me more than anything.  His desire is more than restoration of my Family, He wants His children to come to him... First.

Matthew 6:33 KJV

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Growing up there were five children in my Family and my Father was not an affectionate man, but he yet loved his children.  I never called my Dad, Father, I always called him Daddy.  He may not have been a “hugger”; however, my Daddy always knew how to make each of us feel special.  He knew how to love each of us individually.

This is true of our Heavenly Father.  The relationship that he wants with each of us is special and unique to just us.

Isaiah 43:1 KJV

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

Our Daddy in heaven wants to know you so intimately that He will allow situations and circumstances to come into your life, so that you will be drawn to Him.  These issues are not to destroy you, but to bring you into closer a relationship with “Daddy.”

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

How do you handle a loving Father if you have never experienced such love from your own Father?  Here is the issue for so many. Rejection and betrayal have been such a part of our lives that we don’t understand how to experience true love or intimacy.

Our Father God, recognizes that and He is saying today, “Let me teach you.”  As He begins to teach you what true, unconditional love is all about, that love will flow through you and change every aspect of who you are.

1 Cor 13:4-8 ESV

4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[a] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never ends

Allow the love of your Daddy to transform you  today.  Even if you grew up without a loving Father, don’t look at yourself as fatherless.  Know who you are and whose you are.  Your Daddy has begun this great work, which starts with you and He is faithful to complete the work in you, your beloved spouse and your entire Family.

Philippians 1:6 KJV

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
