“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” —Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
How to Overcome Fear
Fear is a tool the enemy uses to keep you from your God-ordained purpose, but God has equipped you to walk in victory. Here are practical, biblical steps to overcome fear:
• Acknowledge the fear and bring it to God.
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” —Psalm 56:3 (NIV)
• Remember God’s promises. Meditate on His Word to renew your mind.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” —2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
• Take one step of faith. Trust that God will strengthen you as you move forward.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” —Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
• Speak truth over your life. Use God’s Word as a weapon against fear.
“For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”-Hebrews 4:12 ESV
• Surround yourself with faith-filled believers. Community strengthens courage.
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” —Proverbs 27:17 (NIV)
Remember this truth: God’s promise is bigger than fear. Your breakthrough is tied to your obedience. Just Go For It—your destiny awaits!
