Transition~What Does That Look Like?

When Holy Spirit tells you, "Get ready for the new thing," or you hear,"Prepare to transition." You automatically think, oh wow, this is going to be awesome. However, the majority of the time this is where God completely turns your world upside down.

Think of it this way, to build a new building normally the old one must be torn down or the ground has to be completely cleared off to make room for the new.

Well, that is what happens to us when God prepares you for something. You have to get rid of the old to prepare for the new.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV)

When God wants to do the "new" in you the old has to go. What does that look like? Is it all spiritual? Or could it also be natural?

So for me, it is both. In this season, I am purging. Going through closets, drawers and removing things that are just in the way. Some may call it decluttering. Guess what? In getting rid of the things naturally, it showing me how in the spirit the Lord is also removing things.

Decluttering is an act of obedience. As I get rid of a sweater or a shirt that I have been holding to because I loved it three seasons ago, Holy Spirit is removing some things from my heart and replacing it with more of Him.

He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, (Titus 3:5 ESV)

Your obedience to the Father is opening up the doors for the new. It may not look good or even feel good as you go through this transition. However, know this, it is good for you.

Take it from someone that has been stripped and transformed into something brand new. It is worth it. Every tear that I cried, every sleepless night, the pain and the anguish was all worth it. He totally changed and transformed my life and I am forever grateful.

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.(Deuteronomy 31:8 ESV)

When you totally yield and surrender to the transition, next level or new season, total transformation will take place in your life. Trust Him.

Prayer:

Father, I thank you that you are making all things new for me. I don't know what it will look like, but I know if I lean into you I will come out better than I was before. I will not walk in fear, doubt or unbelief. I will trust you and know that my heart is in your hands and you will not fail me. You are the God of the impossible and you turn all things around for my good. I crush and destroy every lying spirit that says I will not make it through this. Your Word declares that I am more than a conqueror. I am and it is SO. In

the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.
