Prepare Your Altar and Come Away

Updated: Apr 26

As I am here in my home resting today, I heard the Lord say, “Prepare an altar.” For me that means, time to come away with Him.

I do have specific places that I pray and I pray in these place regularly. However, today I feel the nudge to come away.

Some of you need to come away. Life has brought much push back this week. Actually for a few weeks or even months, you have been getting push back. It’s time to come away and lay upon the altar.

We can get so busy “doing” that we don’t allow ourselves to refilled and refreshed. Even during your prayer time, it may have become dry or stale. It is time to stoke the fire and come away.

When the fire is stoked, the anointing flows freely. Those issues of life will not hit as hard because you have stoked that fire. When we keep the altar hot with His presence, we are giving Him complete rule and reign.

We as “humans” tend to try to handle things and when we do trouble comes on the horizon. It’s time for us to come away to the altar. Tarry there. Linger there. Be built up there!!! Be strengthened there. It is there that NOTHING CAN OVERTAKE YOU!!!

Do you feel the need to come away? Get still and quiet before Him. Let your heart release every area that is hurting, broken, or even feeling hijacked. God is speaking.

Prayer:

Lord God, we give You praise for being so good to us. You are our good shepherd and You take care of Your sheep. Lord, thank you for seeing where we are. You know what we need. You are the Alpha and the Omega. You know our beginning to our ending. Thank You Lord for the invitation. As we come away with You Father, You are covering us in divine protection. You are shielding us. We love You for that. Even in our sorrow, You comfort and strengthen us. You are sovereign and even when we don’t understand, we believe that You have great plans for us. So we place our trust in You Father to cover us, to keep us and to shield us. You are our reward Father. In the Name of Jesus. Amen

Scripture:

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Matthew 6:6 ESV

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15 ESV

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6 ESV
