Watch Out for the Bumps in the Road

On yesterday, I heard the Lord say, “Watch out for the bumps in the road.” As I leaned in and asked Him what He meant, He began to reveal that just like natural roads, life has moments that cause us to slow down. These bumps are not always meant to stop you, but they can become distractions if you allow them to.
Sometimes we’re moving quickly, focused on the destination, and suddenly a bump appears. It may feel like an interruption, even a setback. But God is saying, this is not your stopping point. It’s a place to slow down, realign, and regain focus.
The bumps may look like financial pressure, relationship strain, or even health challenges. They can feel like hindrances to your divine destiny. But hear this clearly—a slowdown is not a shutdown or a STOP!!
The enemy would love for you to park in a place God only intended for you to pass through. Don’t set up camp in a temporary place. Adjust your pace if needed, but keep moving forward.
You are closer than you think. Your destination is still ahead of you.
Reflective Questions:
Have I mistaken a slowdown for a stop in this season?
What “bumps” have I allowed to discourage or derail me?
How is God inviting me to realign and keep moving forward?
Prayer:
Father, I thank You for reminding me that every bump in the road is not meant to stop me. Give me discernment to recognize when You are calling me to slow down and realign, not quit. Strengthen me in the places where I’ve grown weary, and help me to keep moving forward in faith. I refuse to be derailed by distractions or discouraged by temporary setbacks. I trust that You are ordering my steps and leading me to my divine destination. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
