What is God Saying to You on Repeat?

Updated: Jul 18

Have you ever noticed something on repeat? For example, you see a set of numbers like “11” and you see things ending in “11” on repeat. Or maybe you keep seeing a particular book. Perhaps you keep hearing a particular scripture or seeing a symbol.

Did you know that it maybe that God is inviting you into a conversation? For a long time God spoke to me with the numbers “222.” I saw the numbers 222, everywhere. I saw it on buses, my clocks at home, and I saw it on grocery store shelves. At first I did not understand it, but I soon realized that God was inviting me into a conversation with Him.

God speaks in so many ways.

  • Exodus 3: God speaks through a burning bush

  • Exodus 19:9: God speaks through a thick cloud

  • 1 Kings 19:12: God speaks in a gentle whisper

  • Psalm 46:10: Says to "be still, and know that I am God"

  • Job 33:14: Says that God speaks in one way, and in two, though people do not perceive it

  • Psalm 29:3: Says "The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD, over many waters"

  • Psalm 85:8: Says "Let me hear what God the LORD will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints; but let them not turn back to folly”

He speaks in so many ways, but when He speaks on repeat He wants to get your attention. There is something that he wants to say to you of great importance.

How do you know what He is speaking about? Well, for me the numbers led me to scripture. I looked up scriptures regarding the numbers 222 and the ones that resonated with me were these:

And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. Mark 2:22

He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him. Daniel 2:22

In these scriptures, I knew that God wanted to reveal things to me, mysteries, new things and in order for me to understand those things I would need to spend more time with Him and more time in His word. He speaks there (the Word) most of all.

As I spent time, quiet time with Him, He revealed His mysteries to me and I had encounters with Him that were amazing. I still have those encounters and now they are next level.

So if God is speaking to you on repeat, sit  with Him and allow Him to share His heart with you. He may say go to a specific scripture or He may lead you to a song. He may even just want you to spend some quiet time with Him. What ever it is, pay attention. Listen intentionally and write down what you hear. Steward it well, because God is always speaking.
