When God Repeats Himself~PAY ATTENTION!!
Have you ever noticed how God will keep bringing the same Scripture, thought, or message across your path?
It happened to me this week.
I heard Ephesians 1:17–23 several times throughout the week. At first, I simply recognized it as a powerful passage of Scripture. But when I kept hearing it, I knew I needed to pay attention.
Why?
Because sometimes God repeats Himself because He wants us to see something we haven’t seen yet.
Paul’s prayer for the church at Ephesus was not simply that they would have more information. He prayed that they would have revelation.
“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.”
— Ephesians 1:17 NKJV
Paul was praying that their eyes would be opened.
Think about that.
They already knew about Jesus. They were already believers. But Paul prayed that they would gain a deeper understanding of who God is and what He had already given them.
Sometimes we don’t need God to give us something new.
We need Him to open our eyes to what He has already said.
That will change the way you think.
When God opens the eyes of your understanding, you begin to see your situation differently.
You may still be waiting, but now you see the wait through faith.
You may still be fighting, but now you understand that God has given you authority.
You may still be facing opposition, but now you remember that Jesus is seated “far above all principality and power.”
The circumstances may not have changed yet, but your perspective has.
And sometimes the greatest breakthrough begins right there in your thinking.
That is why Paul prayed:
“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened…”
— Ephesians 1:18 NKJV
So, what has God been repeating to you?
What Scripture keeps showing up?
What message keeps coming across your path?
What keeps stirring in your spirit?
PAY ATTENTION!
Don’t automatically dismiss the repetition.
Stop. Pray. Open your Bible.
Ask the Holy Spirit, “Father, what are You showing me?”
Because God may be trying to reveal something that will change the way you see yourself, your situation, your authority, or even Him.
The Word isn’t just something we read. It is an invitation to go DEEPER!!

What might He be asking you to see differently?
Where do you need the “eyes of your understanding” to be enlightened?
Prayer🙏🏾
Father, open the eyes of my understanding. Give me wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Help me recognize when You are speaking and give me the discipline to stop and pay attention. Change the way I think. Change the way I see. Help me see my circumstances through the truth of Your Word rather than through fear, doubt, or what I can see naturally. Holy Spirit, show me what I have not yet understood. In Jesus’ name, amen.
