Childlike faith, WOW. When you hear these two words, what do you believe they mean? Is God looking for innocence? Unwavering belief? Total and complete trust in God? Yes, all of these, plus so much more.
So many spent this holiday season in doubt, pain, fear, and loneliness. This is not what the Father desires for any of His children. Will there be times of trials and tests? Yes, but you can have peace and joy in your process.
When you experience childlike faith, you trust God for EVERYTHING. You are able to see beyond what you see and you believe what GOD HAS SAID.
Matthew 18:2-4 AMP
2 He called a little child and set him before them, 3 and said, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you repent [that is, change your inner self—your old way of thinking, live changed lives] and become like children [trusting, humble, and forgiving], you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
A child trusts. A child loves. A child forgives. Lastly, a child is humble and follows the leader. When we can become like a child in our walk with the Father, we are truly on our way to transformation in our lives. Also, we will begin to see the manifestation of God’s promises. It begins with childlike faith.
When I was a child, many years ago. (You can laugh.) Whenever I asked my Dad for something, he would come through. Did I have to remind him occasionally? Yes, but he had established a track record with me of keeping his promises. Our heavenly Father is the same. Allow Him to establish a track record with you.
Some may say, ”My Father was awful or I did not know my Father.” Guess what our Heavenly Father is not on the same level. He is a good Father and He desires for you to enjoy this life to the full. Trusting him and knowing that whatever you are going through believe that He will bring you out on top. CHILDLIKE FAITH is key to your success in your walk with Christ.
Prayer~Father, we come to you humble and submitted. We yield our hearts totally and completely to you. We surrender our all to you and we ask that you create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us.
Lord, we have childlike faith. We repent for not trusting you with our whole heart. We repent for not conforming to your Word, which clearly gives us direction and guidance. Lord, you gave us the Holy Spirit, which leads us in all truth. We acknowledge you as Lord. We will no longer compromise. We will follow you. Our hearts long to be in your presence. We long for fellowship with you. Lord, as we go through the tests of life because you love us, we will stand strong. We declare today that “We are sold out to you and we are led by the Holy Spirit.” Wherever you lead us, we will go. We release and renounce every assignment of the enemy that keeps us in bondage to past hurts and pain. We are walking into our new with childlike faith and wonder. In the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.
