Are you feeling as though you will never get through this situation? Some of you are standing in the gap for prodigals, praying for healing in your bodies, or dealing with financial issues for what seems to be an eternity. You want to just quit because you don’t see breakthrough.
Guess what? God has great plans for you. While you are waiting for your promise to be fulfilled know that God has allowed this situation to draw you closer to himself and you will come out on the other side better than where you started.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 ESV
This verse is a verse that most intercessors can say by heart. However, have you ever really looked at it and thought, WOW. The creator of ALL things is thinking about me. He is concerned about my well being and he is looking out for me. He has plans for me that are for my good.
Have you ever asked him what those plans are?
Okay, so grab your journal and just get quiet before God. Ask him, “Lord, what are your plans for me?” Then just sit stay there.
Allow him to share his heart with you. At first, you may not hear anything, but everyday get your journal and sit for a few minutes and ask that question. I encourage you to just linger there. Allow him to share his heart with you.
I will tell you that he has plans for you that will blow your mind. Things that you could not possibly image.
I have been interceding for prodigals for many years and God has showed himself strong and he has allowed me to grow beyond anything that I could ever hoped for or imagined.
I have authored four books and working on a fifth. Traveled the globe for ministry and continue to serve in my local church. As I am doing all this, God is working behind the scenes in my circumstances. God let me know that He will make all things beautiful in his time. When we do what God is requesting of us everything in our will fall in alignment.
I was reminded this weekend, that God is enough. For years, I tried to force things and manipulate things. That never works by the way. However, as soon as I understood that God is enough and his plans are good, I was able to walk out this journey with confidence. Not in myself, but confidence and trust in God who has all things in control. It may seem like the promise will never come, but wait for it and trust that God has good plans for you.
For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. Habakuk 2:3 ESV
Prayer-
We thank you and we honor you. You have never failed us or let us down in any way. We look to you oh Lord for guidance and strength and you always come through greater than we could ever hoped for. Your plans for us are always good. When the enemy comes in like a flood, you lift up a standard against him. You make all things beautiful in your time. So Father, we cast every care before you. Without fear or doubting, you are a great big God and you can handle every task set before you. When we get rattled or shaken by our circumstances, your Word settles us. We can also lay before you in worship knowing that you have it all in control. Nothing is impossible for you God and so we stand in faith and expectation that we shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. In Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
