The Holy Spirit put a song in my heart last week and I feel the need to share how it blessed me and how it can bless you.
As I pray and lay before the Father, oftentimes He will place a song in my heart. On last week it was "Breathe" by Maverick City Music.
When you are in a spiritual battle, there are certain songs that just minister. This song did it for me.
Can I be transparent? I get weary. Yes, warring for your loved ones and for others can literally make you tired. However, Holy Spirit had to remind me that rest is truly a war move.
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 ESV
So I have been resting and spending more time in the presence of God. God has allowed me to just release burdens and get some healing for myself. Listen, the enemy will try to wear you out in the battle so you need to know how to stay refreshed in the midst of it all.
When He put the song "Breathe" in my heart, I listened to it on repeat. It so refreshed me.
The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3:17 ESV
The song talks about releasing those heavy burdens and breathing. No need to be frustrated just breathe. Our breath was literally given to us to praise the Lord!!
So while enemy is trying to suffocate you with worry, frustration and uncertainty, the Holy Spirit is saying "Just Breathe." When you release your breath and trust God to do what He said, those burdens lift. That frustration disappears because you know that you know God has ALL things in control. No more uncertainty, I can now "Breathe!"
Can you release those heavy burdens today? Can you trust God with your prodigal, your situations, your circumstances? Can you just "Breathe"? Holy Spirit wants you to know that you can.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 ESV
