Let The Word Do the Work!!

When I returned from Australia, there was so much to process. Honestly, I’m still unpacking all that I experienced there. God placed a song in my heart that truly set me on fire and helped me through the process. As I listened to that song, it stirred me and reminded me that His Word is powerful. And for every prophecy I’ve received, I’m called to activate them with His Word.

In other words, I’m to let the Word do the work.

Which just happens to be the name of the song: Let the Word Do the Work by Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers.

Has God ever spoken a word to your heart—through a prophet, a dream, or a moment in prayer—and you knew it was Him? You felt hope rise. You felt seen. But somewhere along the way, that word got buried under the weight of life.

Here’s the truth: we’re not called to just receive prophetic words—we’re called to partner with them.

When God speaks, He invites us into agreement. And one of the most powerful ways we agree with heaven is by speaking those words out loud—not just once, but consistently. The enemy wants you silent. Heaven wants you declaring.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” (Proverbs 18:21)

What you say over your life matters. It sets the tone. It shifts the atmosphere. And when your words align with God’s Word, mountains move.

Here’s how to activate the words God has spoken over you:

  1. Write it down. Don’t let a single promise slip away. (Habakkuk 2:2)

  2. Speak it out. Use your voice. Let your spirit hear the sound of truth.

  3. Find it in Scripture. Every prophetic word should echo His written Word. That’s your confirmation and your foundation.

Here are a few scriptures you can start declaring now:

• “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My daughter…’” —Psalm 2:7 (paraphrased)

• “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you…” —Job 22:28

• “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’” —Joel 3:10

• “He watches over His Word to perform it.” —Jeremiah 1:12

Let’s reflect:

• What words has God spoken over your life that you’ve set aside?

• What would it look like to start declaring them again with boldness?

• What scriptures can you stand on in this season?

• Are your words building your faith—or feeding your fear?

Here’s your challenge:

Take one prophetic word and one scripture that aligns with it. Declare them out loud today—over your mind, your body, your family, your future. Speak life.

You’re not just waiting on God—He’s waiting on your agreement. And when you speak, heaven responds.
