Make Room for More of Him

I love the store Big Lots. This discount store always has great deals on things that I love especially home decor. However, the one thing I dislike about many of the Big Lots stores - clutter.

I can think of one store in particular that was always cluttered. It was a safety hazards just trying to maneuver the aisles. The clutter made this particular store unsafe and uninviting.

Can that be said about you? Your heart is so filled with stuff that it is considered unsafe and uninviting.

We desire more of Him, but to have more we must remove those things that is keeping us from obtaining more.

Bitterness, unforgiveness, hatred, malice, perversion, gossip, and anger were things that I had to remove to make room for more of Him. Traumatic experiences in life had left me a mess, but I had to make a decision that I was not going to stay in that place. I wanted more of God. But, how? How was I going to get to that place?

I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4 ESV

I reached out Him. I placed those things before Him on a constant basis in prayer. I fasted. I got inner healing and deliverance. When you are desperate for God, you will climb mountains to get to Him. When you want something different, you will do something different.

Like the woman with the issue of blood, I pressed in to His presence and He satisfied the longing in my heart. More Lord. More Lord.

He begin to clean house and He is still cleaning house. Decluttering of the heart is a process that takes time, but if you desire more of God you will make room. You will do whatever is necessary to fill that hunger and thirst for Him. Make room!! Make room for MORE!!

Prayer~ Lord, we thank you that You are El Shadai (the all sufficient one). You are the MORE THAN ENOUGH God!!! Father, we desire more of You. More of your love. More of your power. More of your anointing. More of your favor. MORE LORD!! MORE!!

Lord, we are willing to make room. Help us Lord to uproot that things in our hearts that don't look like you. Give us fire in our belly. Give us that hunger for more of You. We want everything that You have for us. Satisfy that longing in our hearts Lord. In Jesus Name. Amen!!!
