This week while on the sharing the heart of the Father broadcast, God allowed me to pray for people that were dealing with various sicknesses in their bodies. Mainly, we prayed for chronic pain in the body. The Lord then gave a word of knowledge that much of the pain was due to unforgiveness.
There are many chronic illnesses in the body caused by unforgiveness. A study conducted by Johns Hopkins, showed that unforgiveness is linked to higher incidences of stress, heart disease, high blood pressure, lowered immune response, anxiety, depression, and other health issues.
Many of the diseases in the body can be healed if people would repent and forgive. There is a saying that goes something like this, "Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and waiting on the other person to die."
According to research done by Dr. Michael Barry, of the cancer patients he studied, 61 percent had forgiveness issues, and of those, more than half are severe. Unforgiveness could literally be killing people as well as their loved ones.
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32
Offense is real, but we can not allow what has happened to us be our demise. The Lord is concerned about the things that are concerning you. Repent of the anger, bitterness and unforgiveness so that you can be free. Freedom can be yours both spiritually and physically. Remove that person or those people from the altar of your heart. Repent. Forgive. Release Them. Bless Them. Your life may depend on it.
Prayer of Repentance and Forgiveness:
Father God, we come to you and thank you that you forgive us continually. Lord, you are merciful and gracious even when we don't deserve it. Lord, we repent for holding ______ (name the person/people) hostage in unforgiveness for ________ (say what they did to you). Lord, we forgive them. You said that if we don't forgive , we can't be forgiven. So, Lord we forgive and we release them to You. They are your sons and daughters. You see all and you know all. You are the justice giver. Lord, we will not be concerned about how you deal with your children. You are God and we are not. We bless them Father and we pray that you shower them with abundant blessings. You said we should bless those that have hurt or misused us and so because your Word is truth and life, we will obey. Father, we thank you that as we repent, forgive, release and bless them you are doing a major heart transformation in us!! We give you glory for it God!!! We declare that we are healed and whole both spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Continue to cover us, Father, in the blood of Jesus. In the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.
