Aloha Everyone,
Psalm 118:6-9 is such a comforting and powerful reminder:
“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.”
Can we just pause for a moment and let that sink in? The God of the universe is on your side. Whatever you’re facing today—whether it’s fear, betrayal, or uncertainty—this truth changes everything.
Here’s what stands out to me in this passage:
• God is your helper: He’s not distant or uninterested. He’s actively working in your life, fighting battles you can’t see, and walking beside you every step of the way.
• Fear doesn’t stand a chance: When you know God is for you, fear loses its grip. No matter what others say or do, their power is nothing compared to God’s.
• True security comes from Him: People, positions, or even our own plans will fail us. But God? He never will. Taking refuge in Him is the safest place you could ever be.
So, let me ask you—are there areas in your life where you’re leaning on your own strength or trusting in people instead of God? I know I’ve been there. But this passage encourages us to let go of those temporary crutches and fully lean into His strength.
Let this be your reminder today: the Lord is on your side. You don’t have to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. He’s got you.
Here’s a prayer you can pray:
Lord, thank You for being my refuge and my helper. Help me to let go of fear and trust You completely, even when it’s hard. I surrender my battles to You, knowing You are for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
You are loved, and you’re never alone.
Blessings and Love,
